Reprint, minus the "At a congress held at the German Flats ... in July 1770", of the octavo edition printed by Styner and Cist in Philadelphia in 1776 (DePuy, 49); Referring to a tract of land now in the northwestern part of West Virginia and not to the present state of Indiana.; In a letter to Benjamin Franklin, August 7, 1775, Edward Bancroft states that Samuel Wharton and he wrote this pamphlet. See. Alvord, C.W. The Mississippi Valley in British politics, volume 2, page 317.; "At a conference held with the Six Nations at Johnson-Hall, May 2d, 1765. Present, Sir William Johnson, baronet, the king's superintendent of Indian affairs ...
