Title from caption and first part of text.; According to De la pluma a la imprenta: la cultura impresa en Puerto Rico 1806-1906 / Museo de Historia, Antropología y Arte, Universidad de Puerto Rico, 2008, there were two printing presses in Puerto Rico from 1806 on, both of which were located in San Juan.; Dated and signed on p. [2]: Puerto Rico [blank] de enero de 1823 Francisco Gonzalez de Linares.; "Señas del llamado José Albert", p. [3], gives the text of the arrest warrant for Joseph Albert Bacler d'Albe, who was a military engineer who participated in the Napoleonic Wars and then went on to flight with the revolutionary forces in the South American wars of independence in Chile and Peru.; Orders the arrest of Joseph Albert Bacler d'Albe, part of the Ducoudray Holstein expedition which started to be planned in 1820 and which was to be executed in 1822, and was an attempt by commercial interests to invade Puerto Rico and declare it the independent Boricua Republic, a name which was derived from Boriken, the Taino name for the island of Puerto Rico.; Signatures: [1]² ([1]₂ verso blank)
