This plant belongs to the genus Heliconia.The lithographs in this book were made from drawings made by Debret during his fifteen-year residence (1816-1831) in Brazil.Lithographer is probably Charles Etienne Pierre Motte (French printmaker and draftsman, 1785-1836).
