One of the islands of Titicaca, also known as Isla del Sol, contains an Inca temple. The Isla del Sol is pivotal in the Inca creation myth which relates how Manco Capac emerged from Titikala (the sacred rock).Originally issued in 90 fascicles between 1834 and 1847; typically bound in 7 to 11 volumes.Lemercier & Companie was a leading lithography firm in Paris in the mid-nineteenth century.
