Cook's expedition reached Unalaska in July, 1778. Unalaska is the name of both a city and an island in the Aleutian chain in present-day Alaska. It has been inhabited by the Aleuts for centuries.John Webber accompanied Cook on his third voyage to the Pacific.The engraver is probably Jean-Marie Delatre, French, 1746-1840.
