Presents would be offered, and the corpse would be carried to a funeral pyre where the body would be burned.This image follows the special title page for Antonio de Herrera y Tordesillas, Vervolg der roemwaardige zee- en land-reysen des dapperen Ferdinand Cortes ... , Leiden, 1706.This collection of voyages consists of 127 parts, each having a special title page, separate pagination, and register. The voyages covering the period from 1246 to 1696 are arranged chronologically.
