The Virgin Mary holds the Christ Child surrounded by some of the miracles ascribed to her, a dog leans a horse away from a unseated man, the Virgin saves a man upon whom a pillar has fallen, she guides a ship away from rocky shores, and a man takes out a statue of the Virgin and Child from a chest. Also includes the eagle perched on a cactus (symbol of the Aztec or Mexica people).
