The King's College building, completed in 1760, is the large building with the cupola. The scene, drawn in 1763, looks southeastward, with the Hudson River on the right. The spire of Trinity Church is visible to the right (west) end of the College building. St. George's church on Beekman Street is at the extreme left. The palm tree was substituted by P. Canot for the original pine tree drawn by Capt. Thomas Howdell.
