The Falkland Island wolf (Dusicyon australis) is now extinct. Killed by Europeans to protect the cattle and sheep that they introduced to the islands, the last known Falkland wolf was killed in 1876. Volumes 1 and 2 (and perhaps vols. 3 and 4) of this series were edited by David Henry. Image placed horizontally on page.
