Given by Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor (Charles I of Spain) to his son, who ruled as Philip II of Spain, this atlas consists of fourteen maps. Agnese, a prolific Genoese mapmaker working in Venice, and his workshop produced a number of decorated manuscript maps. Seventy-one surviving Agnese atlases were identified by Henry R.
