Part of Francisco Antonio de Lorenzana's Historia de la Nueva-España (Mexico, 1770) which brought together historical documents relating to the civil and religious history of Mexico. Engraver is José Mariano Navarro. Two gods depicted at the top of the temple and to whom sacrifices are being made are Huitzilopochtli (god of the sun and war) and Tlaloc (god of rain).
