View of mountains. Bartlett, along with Henry Cheever Pratt and commission officials, overtook Lt. Amiel Whipple's surveying party along the Gila River. Bartlett described this mountain range as being made of "fantastic summits, among which were three resembling the tops of Hindu pagodas." The higher peaks in the sketch include Klothos Temple and Muggins Peak.
