Narrative description:
Investment schemes. [The gaudy shareholders shown during their honor and influence.] A woman sits on a throne as on a stage with a ship on her head and a child on her lap. Her other hand holds a rudder. The child, representing credulity, holds the chain of an old woman representing avarice. Men stand before the stage and gather shares. A woman representing fortune hovers in a cloud above the woman on the throne and strews papers. Also includes a devil or satyr with bellows, a gentleman with a sword, and a carriage.
