Investment schemes. [The inventor of stock-jobbery in his triumphal car.] John Law [Magere Lauw Rier] sits in a chariot drawn by two cocks. Includes a one-legged man with a broken cart and a man who speaks from a tower or castle in the air. The man's wig has been blown from head. This plate was produced from one showing the Duc de Vend�me and was a satire on the defeat of the French in 1706 at the Siege of Menin.
