Map of North America identifying the 1763 boundaries with those of English colonies extending to the Mississippi River. Inset title: Particular map of Baffin and Hudson's Bay. Inset title: Passage by land to California discover'd by Father Eusebius Francis Kino ... Relief shown pictorially. Shows boundaries, cities and towns, roads, forts, missions, some industries, trails, trade routes, portages, and vegetation. Also shows Indian villages and tribal territories, routes of navigation in the Gulf of Mexico, and navigational hazards along the coast. Includes historical notes, references to symbols, and notes on territorial claims. Decorative cartouche includes native Americans with furs, beaver, and alligator.
Cartobibliographic notes:
Later state with mention of treaty of 1763 in title. In contemporary slipcase with cloth loops sewn at corners and center sides.
