Map of Scandinavia, the British Isles, Germany, France, Spain and Portugal, and the Mediterranean Sea eastward to Turkey southwards to North and West Africa on the right side of the map; shows the islands of the North Atlantic (Azores, Canary Islands, and Cape Verde); on the left side of the map there is part of Greenland and the continent of North America from the Canadian Arctic to the United States, westward to New Orleans, and then southward to the Caribbean, the Gulf of Mexico, part of Central America, and Colombia, Venezuela, the Galapagos Islands, the Guianas, and west to Brazil. Includes historical notes and four coastal views. Prime meridians: London and Ferro. Depth indicated by soundings. Entire map is also a nautical chart. Title from border on foot of map. Imprint from below neat line at foot of map. In upper margin: B.
