Cartobibliographic notes:
Revised state of the plate, imprint added. "This map belonged to Gen. Henry A.S. Dearborn ... He was much interested in the developments of the railroads of Massachusetts and one of the principal advocates of the Hoosac tunnel. He has laid out routes for railroad lines on this map in colored inks and has also written in the names of the many streams and ponds and a few villages which were not put in by the engravers. He has also drawn in roughly in pencil the Hoosac mountains and indicated in ink the 'Tunnel'"--Dealers label on verso
