Cartographic elements include degrees of latitude and longitude, some topographical details, compass rose, scale, location of native American settlements, missions, and bishoprics. Decorative cartouche includes native Americans and mythological figure or river god who is seated on a tortoise or turtle and holds a triton, flanking title surmounted by women, one represents the church with chalice and cross, the other government with a pillar and anchor. Also includes owl and bat, brace of game or birds, fish, feathered headdress and garment, bow and arrows.
