The west coast of Europe and Africa are also shown. Cartographic elements include lines of longitude and latitude, location of rivers and settlements, and compass rose. Decorative cartouche includes native Americans hunting for and eating birds, a king or emperor under a parasol held by a servant, bars of gold, and black [?] men panning for ore. Also includes snakes, ships, vignette with scene of warfare within Brazil, and animals such as bear, deer, and anteater. Includes a dedicatory cartouche with angels (one holding a cross and one blowing a trumpet) and a coat of arms [of Sir Anthony Ashley, Baron Ashley of Wimborne St Giles, in Dorset?].
