Ragatz, L.J. Brit. Caribbean history, p. 446.; Cf. Bissainthe, M. Dict. de bib. haïtienne, 7264.; Chronicles, in detail, the many bloody instances of destruction, killings and burnings of the plantations and their planters by the slaves during their revolts in 1791.
