Trelles.; Memorial to the King denouncing the connivance of the local authorities of Cuba in a smuggling racket operating since 1743 whereby British ships from the American Colonies introduced illicit merchandise into Cuba under the pretext of bringing black slaves. Santa Cruz also denounces the persecution to which he has been subjected as a result of his having made the corruption public.
