Title from caption and first stanza of poem.; Printed on verso on sheet is another poem with title "Oitava" in 8 lines which reads: A justiça surgio victoriosa / o despotismo tremeo d'horror, espanto; / a caterva dos vicios criminosa / verte sobre grilhoens esteril pranto: / Luzitania está livre, está ditosa só de ti Pedro he digno imperio tanto: / vem tu a pedra ser fundamental / da constituçaõ de Portugal.; Anonymous political poem in four stanzas possibly dating from the time of the political revolution, which erupted in Portugal in 1820 and concluded in 1821 with the return of the Portuguese court from Brazil; in 1822 a new constitution was ratified and implemented.
