Text describes how Hans Staden left on his first voyage to Brazil from Lisbon.This image is similar to one found in Hans Staden, Warhaftige Historia ..., Marburg, 1557, and follows the special title page for Hans Staden, De voorname Scheeps-togten van Jan Staden van Homburg in Hessen, na Brazil ... , Leiden, 1706. This collection of voyages consists of 127 parts, each having a special title page, separate pagination, and register. The voyages covering the period from 1246 to 1696 are arranged chronologically.
