Description:
Kneeling man in armor offers a crown and the Indies to the pope. Decorative elements include two medallions of St. Francis and [another saint], two coats of arms (one of the Franciscan order, the other showing the five wounds of Christ), the dome of St. Peter's Basilica. The pope holds the triple-tiered crown of the papacy. The soldier says, "Quantum offero pro Indies."
