Text describes the Tupinamba (also known as the Tuppin Imba or Tupi) chief as possessing enormous strength, fierceness, and being of giant size. Cunhambebe (called Konyan Bebe by Hans Staden), elected chief of the Tamoyo Confereration of native tribes, waged war against the Portuguese until 1567.
