Text (p. 716-717) describes a plant known to Europeans for its use in curing veneral diseases and discovered in Chile. Engraving attributed to Pierre-François Giffart (1647-1723). Father Louis Feuillée was a French botanist and member of the Académie Royal des Sciences, who served as scientist and botanist on several French expeditions.
