notes:
Colonel Henry Bouquet held a peace treaty with three tribes, the Senecas, Delawares, and Shawnees at Tuscacawas in present-day Ohio in October 1764. Revere copied the print from the Court Miscellany, Nov. 1766, vol. 2, p. 606, which, in turn, was copied from an engraving done by Charles Grignion of a painting by Benjamin West for an edition of William Smith, Historical account of the expedition against the Ohio Indians. Published first by Isaiah Thomas and then Joseph Greenleaf in Boston, this magazine was produced from January 1774 until April 1775 when the war put an end to publication.
