notes:
|
Low was alleged to be one of the most brutal of all pirates and the most notorious of any pirate to come out of New England. This work is often attributed to Defoe based on textual relationship to works of Defoe's proven authorship together with supporting external evidence. It also has also been attributed to Charles Johnson.
