Map of the eastern part of Brazil from the Amazon River (here named Marañon) at north to the Rio de la Plata at south. Decorative elements include scenes of native American life, hunting, sleeping, building, and greeting Europeans. Also includes bows, llamas, monkeys, birds or parrots, hammocks, sea monsters or fish, ships, turtle, dwellings, and hatchets.
