This is probably Moctezuma II (reigned 1502-1520), the ninth Aztec emperor, whose surname was Xocoyotzin or bitter lord (or the youngest), was the son of Axayácatl and great grandson of Moctezuma I. He surrendered to the Spanish in 1520. The plates for this work were largely based on Neu-eroffnetes Amphi-Theatrum ..., Erfurt, 1723.
