notes:
|
Christ Church was built between 1727 and 1744. The steeple was completed in 1754 and rebuilt after a 1908 fire. On the left of the print is the Town Hall or Courthouse, built 1707 to 1710 and demolished in 1837. Its first floor was the city's first permanent market.
