Landing of a group of Europeans on the idealized shore of Cayenne or French Guiana. Items in the image are numbered for identification in key at bottom. Elements include ships, boats, and casks. Built environment includes caves where native Americans live and dwellings of fishermen.
notes: 
This drawing, said to have been originally drawn by a Spanish officer in 1762, was intended to attract French settlers to French Guiana. Title, Vue de la Nouvelle Cayenne, is engraved in reverse at top of image.
