Narrative description:
|
Meteorite found near Tucson, Arizona, and is known at the Tucson Ring Meteorite. It was found in the Santa Rita mountains and brought to Tucson in the 1840s to be used as an anvil in a blacksmith shop. The original meteorite has been in the Smithsonian since 1863.
