Narrative description: 
View of valley with mountains in the distance and trees. "Valley leading to Santa Cruz from the North," is in the lower center in Bartlett's handwriting. Includes a man on a mule and a man with mules pulling wagons along the road tha crosses the crest of Canelo Pass into the head of San Rafael Valley. An erasure reads "Looking towards Santa Cruz from the north." This sketch may be a Bartlett copy of a Pratt original.
