Includes soundings, indication of shallows, descriptions of various geographies, and route to be taking through the strait. Also includes a volcano covered in snow and territory of native tribes. Relief shown pictorially.

This map is from Jeffery's American Atlas, first published in 1775. This map was bound into a volume of 53 maps for John Carter Brown around 1840. The first map, Herman Moll, "A map of the West-Indies," London, ca. 1720 (08569-1-000) was removed from the volume and is housed separately.
