Map of South America includes a number of sea voyages: Sharpe in 1681, Halley in 1700, la Roche in 1675, Magellan in 1520, Vespucci in 1502 In cartouche at lower left, dedication "To Edmund Halley. LLD." "Engrav'd by Iohn Senex" at lower left. Title cartouche, "H. Hulsbergh Sculp:". Decorative cartouche includes allegorical figure of an Indian woman as America, an alligator or iguana, scene of native Americans cannibals.
