Description:
Map of North and South America with the northern part of North America included to the Anian Strait, with the Great Lakes missing, and with California shown as an island. Cartographic elements include lines of longitude and latitude, location of rivers and settlements, and compass rose. Decorative cartouch includes native Americans hunting for and eating birds, a king or emperor under a parasol held by a servant, bars of gold, and black [?] men panning for ore. Also includes snakes, ships, vignette with scene of warfare within Brazil, and animals such as bear, deer, and anteater.
