This image shows how slaves might have been carried across the Atlantic from Africa. A diagram was originally created by English abolitionists and soon became an icon of the African's ordeal on the Middle Passage. Another view of how slaves were placed is included on the recto of this plate.This pamphlet is the fourth pamphlet in volume 15 of a collection with binder title: Melanges sur l'Amerique.
